What is Fatima?

In the early years of the twentieth century, one of the bloodiest centuries in all of human history, God sent His Mother Mary to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, with a message of His unfailing love and mercy for all people.

On May 13, 1917, and then once again each month through October, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Lucia dos Santos (age 10) and to her cousins Francisco (age 9) and Jacinta Marto (age 7).

Each apparition was a visitation of love. Through these simple shepherds, the world was called back to God. The message and events in Fatima were nothing short of prophetic and continue to grow in their importance today.

Our Lady of Fatima Home Visitation Program

pilgrim-statueMay 13, 1997, marked the 80th anniversary of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal.  On this anniversary, the Our Lady of Fatima Home Visitation Program, which is dedicated to spreading the message of Fatima, was introduced.

To initiate this Program, an all-night vigil of Eucharistic Adoration was held, followed by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.  The Servant of God, Father John A. Hardon, S.J., and the late Father Valerian Rykowski concelebrated this special Mass.

At the conclusion of Holy Mass, Father Hardon blessed and crowned a Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and sent it forth to begin its visits into the homes and families of metropolitan Detroit, Michigan.  As the Program quickly grew, more statues were needed to accommodate the large number of requests for visitations both in Michigan and throughout the United States.

What began as a small, local program has now grown into a national apostolate promoting God’s message through Our Lady of Fatima.

Angel's Prayer

Oh Most Holy Trinity,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
I adore Thee profoundly.
I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world,
in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended.
By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

Pardon Prayer

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love Thee!
I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust and do not love Thee.
